The Doepfer A-196 Eurorack Phase Locked Loop Module is a Eurorack phase locked loop module, which includes a voltage-controlled oscillator, a phase comparator and low pass filter. The module A-196 contains a so-called phase locked loop (PLL). A PLL consists of three parts: voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO), phase comparator (PC), and low-pass filter (LPF). All parts are normally connected to form a closed-loop frequency-feedback system. It has to be pointed out that the A-196 is a very experimental module and its functions cannot be described straight forward as for other modules. Rather the user should try out the possibilities by trial and error.
