A polyphonic digital resonator based on physical modeling techniques.
Based on Rings by Mutable Instruments, the DR uses digital signal processing to simulate vibrating strings and resonating membranes. Use a pitch CV, a trigger pulse, or an external audio signal to shape the resonator's response. The results range from plucked acoustic tones to wild inharmonic dissonance. Each of the three processing modes provides up to four voices of polyphony. Voices are rotated when a new pitch CV or trigger pulse is received. The organic-sounding tones generated by the DR blend in perfectly with a Buchla system.
