Bitbox mk2 black edition – Intuitive Sampling Module

Now available in black! The bitbox mk2 delivers powerful sampling and mangling for Eurorack. With this module you can add recording, sample playback, clip launching, slicing, granular sounds and musically intelligent looping capabilities to your Eurorack rig. With a 3.5 inch touchscreen, bitbox mk2 makes easy work of selecting, editing, and tweaking your samples. You can stream large samples of up to 4 GB file size straight from the microSD card. Interact with other musical components via CV and MIDI. Tweak your configurations to get them just right, then save them to multiple presets for future reuse. With the new bitbox mk2 hardware, you can now do more with the new more powerful processor.

You can also download fxbox and synthbox firmware from our forum and install it on your bitbox mk2 to get three modules in one. Swap to the fxbox firmware to get effects processing, or the synthbox firmware to play with wavetable synthesis.

Next Generation Sampling Module for Eurorack

The bitbox mk2 is a follow up to our successful bitbox module. Do more with bitbox mk2’s more powerful processor and improved touch screen. This module has all of the features of the original bitbox and adds effects and mixing capabilities that take advantage of the faster and more powerful processor.

Sample Playback

  • Play up to 24 polyphonic notes when your samples fit in the 64 MB of internal memory or up to 8 larger samples streaming directly from the microSD card
  • Configure 16 sample pads per preset as single or multi-samples, clips, slicers, granular or new recordings
  • Stream long samples from the microSD card with a max sample size of 4 GB, which can be many hours of audio
  • Trigger samples with the touch screen, CV gate inputs, or MIDI input
  • Use MIDI for polyphonic playback of samples or slices
  • Control how samples start and stop by choosing from one-shot, toggle, and gate launch modes
  • Tweak playback through a variety of sample parameters, including start position, length, pitch, gain, filter, loop mode, launch quantization, ADSR, Exclusive Grouping, clip synchronization, slice placement and sequencing, grain size, grain spread, grain count, and MIDI note and channel mapping

Sample Recording

Record Eurorack level audio straight into the module:

  • Record samples from a stereo audio input pair
  • Configure each pad for stereo or mono recording with the option to synchronize the start and stop times to clock inputs
  • Trigger recording via audio level threshold
  • Create perfectly sized loops by setting the recording length
  • Enable immediate playback after recording for live looping capabilities
  • Make recordings up to 4 hours in length
  • Store recorded samples as WAV files on the micro SD card then remove the card to transfer them to your computer

Sample Modes

Find creative ways of using your samples with our 5 sample playback modes:

  • Trigger one shots or launch loops using sample mode
  • Load a folder of samples into a sample mode pad to improve the quality of the pitch shifting when playing a sample chromatically or to trigger different samples with each note
  • Play time-synchronized loops with constant pitch time shifting in clip mode
  • Skip between slices of a WAV using slicer mode
  • Create rich textures and other worldly sounds with granular mode

External Control and Synchronization

  • Playback can be immediate or synchronized to internal clock, TRS clock in, or MIDI clock in and out
  • Trigger each pad independently through a dedicated gate input
  • Use MIDI to trigger pads via a note per pad
  • Play a single or multi-sample pad pitch shifted using MIDI notes or CV
  • Trigger different sample slices using MIDI notes or CV
  • Modulate a wide variety of sample parameters through the MIDI input and up to 8 CV signals

How much is my shipping?

Shipping is automatically calculated before you submit your payment information. Simply add items to your cart and proceed to the checkout page, where you'll be offered shipping options and their prices. In the UK it's normally around £4 for order values under £150, and free above that. Shipping to mainland EU is typically between £7 and £20, depending on the shipping method and the size and weight of the order.

Do you ship to my country?

Almost certainly - the site will give you an estimate of shipping costs if you add an item to the cart and then enter your country and postcode. If you have specific requirements (such as if you prefer UPS over FedEx, for example) then let us know in advance and we'll try to work something out for you.

Shipping methods

We use a combination of Parcelforce, DPD, Royal Mail and UPS for the UK, and for international orders it's either Royal Mail, UPS, DHL or FedEx depending on where you are in the world. If you have a particular preference then try to let us know BEFORE you order so we can look into it for you. Please note that there may occasionally be additional shipping charges if you live in a remote area, depending on what surcharges are applied by the shipper. We'll get in touch to discuss this with you in such cases.

Dispatch times

For UK orders, we normally dispatch the same working day if we get the order before 15:00. If you have a really urgent situation then of course drop us an email before ordering and we'll always do our absolute best to accommodate you.

For international orders, we normally dispatch the same day if we get the order before 13:00 but again, occasionally it might be the next day before we can send it out, and sometimes FedEx or UPS may come a little earlier than scheduled which would also push an order into the next day.

Shipping times

Since April 2020 the couriers we use have suspended guarantees for shipping times, so even though we're paying them for priority services - 24-48 hours for most of the world - in practice it's often an extra day on top and sometimes it can be longer.

There is absolutely nothing we can do about this unfortunately. If you are outside the UK and it's a life-or-death situation where you absolutely MUST have that passive mult for the next day then... it may be better to find a local supplier.

Saturday shipping

If you're in the UK and you order before 15:30 on a Friday then we can send something for a Saturday delivery (NB: this applies to UK mainland addresses only). The success rate with DPD is about 95% so it's worth a punt most of the time. Please note that if you select Saturday shipping on an order placed earlier in the week, we'll wait until Friday to ship it.

Pre-orders

If a product is listed as a pre-order, it means we've ordered it from the supplier but it's not physically in stock yet. The product listing will include an estimated shipping date based on the best information we have from the supplier, but do bear in mind this is subject to change and is not a guaranteed date.

If you place an order containing a mixture of in-stock and pre-order items, we'll normally hold off on shipping anything until the pre-order item(s) have arrived, rather than splitting it into multiple shipments. If you need the in-stock items sooner, we'd recommend placing separate orders. As always, please get in touch if you have questions.
